An exciting opportunity for an innovative and outstanding Educator with early childhood management experience to join our Early Years Centre - Rose Bay.About the role:We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Director - Early Years Centre to support the Director - Early Years Centre with the day-to-day management of the Centre. This is a fast paced role within a 26 place centre, whereby you will be required to work on the floor throughout the week.This is a fixed term, part-time 0.4FTE (2 days per week) opportunity, with an immediate start date (negotiable) ending 31 March 2022.In this role you will be expected to support the aims and values of the College by taking a leadership role in committing to the development of 'best practice' strategies in all aspects of The Scots College Early Years Centre.Essential to the role:Experience in leading a day care centre.Qualifications in Early Childhood Education and current accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).Demonstrates outstanding potential as an academic leader in early education with a strong record of successful implementation of contemporary approaches to meeting the learning needs of pre-primary and primary aged boys;Have an understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and the capacity to be innovative and creative in the development of The Scots Model of early learning;Be familiar with all NQS, QIP and current regulations;A detailed working knowledge of EYLF;Strong educational leadership skills. We are looking for someone who:Has the ability to infuse the Christian ethos into teaching practice;Has the propensity to recognise the value and uniqueness of each individual within the College community;Has professional and personal integrity;Is flexible and open to change;Is proactive and innovative;Has effective interpersonal communication and organisational skills. Candidates must demonstrate a positive support for the Christian values of a Presbyterian GPS School. Pre-employment checks:All applicants must have a current NSW Working with Children Clearance.
