About the positionThe Scots College is an innovative and creative teaching and learning environment for boys T-12. We pride ourselves on our quest for excellence, our faith and tradition and a culture of leadership through teams for both our students and staff. We are seeking an exceptional Audio Visual Coordinator to join our progressive and supportive Department. This is a permanent full-time position commencing as soon as possible.The Audio Visual Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing the AV, lighting and multimedia resources of the College to ensure the smooth running of classrooms and learning spaces and a wide range of school activities, in-person and online events and productions including meetings and presentations, examinations, assemblies and ceremonies, gala dinners and fairs, charity events, music, dance and drama productions.The Audio Visual Coordinator will support the Director of ICT in ICT strategic leadership within the College. The role will focus on Audio Visual operational issues and working with all members of the ICT Team to deliver timely and exceptional ICT solutions to all units of the College. The role will also entail all AV procurement, AV assets, AV budgets, AV vendor relationship, AV network infrastructure management, AV process/policy, Operation Plan development and AV strategic planning with Director of ICT.Essential to this rolePrevious experience in a leadership position involving AV/ICT ManagementPrevious experience in mentoring/training junior staff membersDemonstrated commitment to the development of ‘best practice’ strategies in all aspects of College AV/ICT operations including experience or desire to implement ITILCapacity to take a T-12 perspective in AV decision makingPropensity to recognise the value and uniqueness of each individual within the College communityProfessional and personal integrityBeing flexible, open-minded, proactive and innovativeDemonstrated capacity to operate as both a leader and a team playerCan do attitude combined with problem solving skills`Unflappable’ personality – used to performing under pressureExcellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and experience in dealing with staff/students/parents on AV/ICT mattersStrong attention to detailHighly motivated and enthusiastic team player with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to maximise outcomesWe offer outstanding opportunities for professional development, a supportive work environment and new experiences.Further InformationThe College has a strong Christian mission and provides a dynamic educational experience, inspiring our Scots boys to become fine young men of integrity and principle who support each other in their quest for excellence.
