About the positionThe Scots College is an innovative and creative teaching and learning environment for boys T-12. We pride ourselves on our quest for excellence, our faith and tradition and a culture of leadership through teams for both our students and staff. We are seeking an exceptional Gardener to join our supportive and enthusiastic Facilities and Maintenance team at The Scots College. The successful candidate will provide support at the highest possible standard and diligent service in the presentation of the Landscape and Garden environment at the College. This is a permanent full-time position. The position will be 5 days per week Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3pm. The Scots College occasionally requires employees to work after hours to finish projects or carry out Facilities and Maintenance tasks.Essential to this roleHold a Current NSW Drivers LicenceHold a OHS White Card or CertificateHave a minimum Certificate 3 in horticulture parks and gardens or 5 years’ experience in garden maintenance Ability to use Grounds machineryDemonstrate commitment to the development of ‘best practice’ in all aspects of Facilities and Maintenance operationsBe a confident and collaborative team player and have the ability to work without direct supervisionDemonstrate professional and personal integrity both on and off siteTake pride in the visualisation of the GroundsDesirable to the roleChainsaw LicenceChemCert AQF3We offer outstanding opportunities for professional development, a supportive work environment and new experiences.Candidates must demonstrate a positive support for the Christian values of a Presbyterian GPS School.Pre-employment checks:All applicants must have a current NSW Working with Children Clearance.
