About the position:We are seeking to appoint a passionate and experienced Learning Enrichment Teacher to join our Senior School (Yrs 7-12). This is a one year fixed-term position with a proposed start date of 13 October 2023.Working as part of a supportive Learning Enrichment team you will be integral to the delivery of effective teaching and learning programs, including the development and implementation of support groups, that focus on the learning and behaviourial needs of students with neurodiversity.Essential to this role:Be NESA registered and have a qualification or extensive experience in Special EducationQualifications in Secondary Education with a specialisation in English/ Humanities Ensure that teaching and learning honours, supports and enhances the innate capacity and diversity of all boysHave experience devising and implementing positive learning and behaviour support strategies;Ability to co-teach or support students in the regular classroomExperience working with students with a range of special needsAbility to both implement differentiation strategies and consult with other teachers regarding their useExperience with devising and implementing Individual Education PlansExperience in formal Special Education assessment and reporting to parentsThe ability to support teachers to implement effective support strategies and programs Knowledge of special education laws, special provisions, practices, program development and program evaluationCommunicate and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and caregivers We offer outstanding opportunities for professional development, a supportive work environment and new teaching and learning experiences.Candidates must demonstrate a positive support for the Christian values of a Presbyterian GPS School.Pre-employment checksAll applicants must have a current NSW Working with Children Clearance.
